The Barnet Community Gynaecology Service has been providing services in Barnet since 2011, and works with partners in Barnet as part of the Barnet Women’s Health Hub.
The creation of women’s health hubs in England aims to bring together healthcare professionals and existing services to provide an integrated health service for women in the community. The Barnet Women’s Health Hub works to address fragmentation in service delivery in the area by working as an interface and partnership across multiple NHS services and local organisations to deliver a life course approach to women’s health. We aim to improve access to services, improve patient experience, and improve health outcomes for our patients by providing a seamless referral pathway between our services.
Our clinicians were invited to speak at a series of national seminars launching the strategy in the summer of 2023, as an example of leading work in the field. This was hosted by Dame Lesley Regan, Women’s Health Ambassador for England and organised by the Department of Health.
